As someone living with Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH), I’ve always been deeply committed to managing my nutrition and overall wellness. From an early age, I realized that the world of dietary advice is often confusing and full of contradictions. When one of my daughters inherited the condition, I was disheartened to find that little had changed in terms of clarity and guidance. Additionally, when my other daughter became an elite athlete, representing Canada at the U20 level, I noticed that much of the nutritional advice she received was either generic or, worse, inaccurate. This sparked my determination to share my knowledge and insights in a meaningful way to help others.
Now, as a Certified Nutritionist by the National Association of Holistic Health Practitioners (NAHHP) Licence #00557 and with my Diploma, with Honours, of the Nutrition and Diet Therapy Program from the College of Health Studies, I combine evidence-based knowledge with my own lived experiences to offer personalized tailored support that addresses both the science of nutrition and the real-world challenges people face. I’ve helped individuals develop sustainable diets and navigate the overwhelming array of advice and trends that often emerge.
I’ve also seen firsthand that when people are diagnosed with chronic illnesses or start new medications, nutrition often isn’t prioritized—despite its crucial role in managing weight and ensuring that dietary choices align with their treatment needs.
